Cartridge

We are specialized in repair and reconditioning cartridges for ABB MAN radial turbochargers and have a large stock of parts available from stock. We prefer to recondition when this is possible, and all parts are carefully inspected after cleaning. Yes parts happen to be within limits authorized, they are reused assembly following

Shaft End Repair

We offer repair / overhaul of all rotating shafts by LASER CLADDING. All shafts, threaded areas, end caps pump and sealing areas can be repaired by LASER CLADDING and machined at the original dimension.

Example: Unlike the procedure for cold or hot repair, a tree repair by LASER CLADDING regains its dimensions and original resistance and absolutely does not risk the delamination, brings no thermal load
likely to affect alloys and their resistance

Nozzelring Repair

Nozzelring for Axial Turbocharger and radially damaged or eroded are mostly repairable for less cost, compared to new while offering equivalent longevity. All Nozzelring blades are thoroughly and rigorously checked to detect cracks before and after repair.

Turbine Dawn Repair

Poor quality fuel can cause immense damage to a turbocharger. Particles incompletely burned by the diesel engine can bend the blades and break them. The "pickling" effect of these dirt particles causes erosion while the high sulfur / water content of the fuel causes corrosion. Foreign bodies passing through the Nozzelring can cause damage (valve pieces, segment, etc. etc.)

A turbocharger rotor damaged in this way results in a significant loss of boost pressure and loss of engine performance, We are often able to repair the rotor blades. This is a specialized procedure performed by highly qualified technicians and certifying

The rotor blades are disassembled, cleaned by ultrasound and precisely measured. A UV inspection is then performed to determine if there are any fractures present. fractured blades are downgraded and replace with new ones

Under certain strictly controlled conditions, using a procedure developed thanks to in-depth research by metallurgists and our engineers, we can repair the rotor blades. The method used is TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding: a technique using a non-fusible electrode with low amperage protected by an inert gas. Only a small area can be exposed to heat, and the operation should be carried out in a closed welding chamber, free of dirt particles and air turbulence,

After repair the blade is machined to its original shape. We do a careful check for cracks using UV / penetrant inspection and the weight is then checked. In order to achieve the correct weight distribution, a computer is used to determine the sequence in which the blades are to be mounted on the rotor, which is then ready for balancing

Dynamic Balancing

The complete rotor is placed on the machine. Even though an imbalance may not have been obvious before overhaul it is possible that this could be introduced during disassembly and procedures repair and therefore it is essential that dynamic balancing is performed before the rotor is returned to service. If the unbalance is found to exceed the manufacturer's specifications, it is corrected Accurate balancing is of the utmost importance and not a single rotor leaves the workshop without having have been tested and, if necessary, corrected. Damaged rotor blades may cause an imbalance. When this imbalance exceeds the accepted tolerance, the vibrations produced deteriorate the bearings and long term and can cause major damage to whole turbocharger drive
major repairs

Before balancing a rotor, it is first necessary to check that the tree and the steering the compressor wheels are always within the tolerances allowed. If these measures are satisfactory or after make-up work, the rotor is examined on a test bench controlled by microprocessor, according to ISO 1940 standards
